Personality: Hisato is quiet and courteous, speaking only when spoken to and using an overly formal tone when doing so. He is very mature, not taking interest in dirty jokes like many teenage boys, for example. He makes a point of helping others whenever possible, giving him a good reputation around town.
Hisato's pretty hard to unnerve, due to his ability to keep calm in most situations. He also occasionally comes across as aloof and distant. This isn't true- Hisato's a really caring individual, he just struggles to express his emotions.
[One of Hisato's key traits is his ability to easy adjust to change. He can go through a major paradigm shift with little fanfare, and can easily get used to drastic changes in his life.]
History: Hisato was a pretty typical person growing up- he was born in Inaba, where he lived for the first thirteen years of his life until his parents moved to Iwatodai to get new jobs. Hisato's parents were worried that he wouldn't take the change of scenery very well, but were surprised with how agreeable he was to change. He didn't really want to move, he just understood it was for the best. Hisato began attending Gekkoukan High, where he became interested in kendo. Hisato learned quickly about the ins-and-outs of the sport. He was offered the honor of being captain, but declined, knowing that someone was training harder than ever to take that spot. Hisato also joined the reading club, where he particularly enjoyed reading mystery novels. Hisato's life has been ordinary, but he will soon find himself into something that's anything but ordinary.

"Hisato-senpai!"
Hisato turned around, looking at the person calling his name- it was one of the kendo club members, Toru Ichijoji. "What's wrong, Toru-san?" asked Hisato. Toru looked out of breath as he put his hands on his knees and panted. "The staff's rescheduled all the fundraising events!" wheezed Toru. "I-it's a disaster!" Hisato put a hand on Toru's shoulder. "Calm down. Explain exactly what happened." said Hisato. Toru staggered over to a nearby chair and flopped into it. "Remember the exhibition matches we were going to sell tickets for?"
Hisato nodded. "Well," began Toru, "the staff has decided to move all the fundraising events for all the clubs to the same day!" Hisato frowned. "So how does this classify as a 'disaster'?" asked Hisato. Toru groaned. "Don't you get it? The other sports teams want to use the gym for demonstrations."
Ah... thought Hisato. The clubs are fighting over who gets the gym. "But the track teams and the swim teams don't need the gym." countered Hisato. "The track team's saying it's gonna rain on the day that the fundraiser events are scheduled for." explained Toru. Hisato rubbed his forehead and sighed. Then, inspiration:
"Toru-san, can you ask the captain to move the safety mats?"
Toru looked up at Hisato in confusion. "Move them where?" asked the student. "To the auditorium." answered Hisato. "The stage should be big enough for one-on-one matches." Toru's eyes lit up and he grinned. "Ah, I see!"
Hisato smiled. "You go talk to the captain, I'm going to pay a visit to the other teams and see if I can help them out."
